Frequently asked questions

Q1. What is the purpose for the chat room?

The purpose of this chat room is to provide a place for people to come together and seek the truth in Yahweh's word. Some people are completely new and know very little, while others are very knowledgeable. We welcome people with all sorts of different levels of understanding, the only thing we ask is that everyone have an open mind and seeking heart. We all desire to be disciples of Yahushua and desire to be just like Him. He was humble, so don't feel intimidated or feel like you have to know certain things first before you join this room. Feel free to ask any questions you have about the beliefs found on this web site or anything else on your heart. If you have a specific question for me, I try to be here every evening from 9pm to midnight, Eastern time.

Q2. Will I offend anyone with my questions or comments?

You are not required to have all the beliefs on this web site to come to the chat room. Feel free to comment or ask questions of any kind.

Q3. Who/What is @Watchman?

A. The @ sign indicates the user is a chat room operator. Chat room operators control the functions of the room and have the ability to silence or remove any abusers/harassers in the chat room. This is rare because this chat server can only be found and used by people who visit this web site. `Watchman is a computer program that will quote scripture on demand. For instance, if you type +Gen 1 1  in the chat room, then `Watchman will quote the Genesis 1:1. Sometimes, `Watchman is the only user in the room. If this is the case, then Watchman will give you a message saying that the chat room is currently empty.

Q4. What are the foreign words that people sometimes use in the chat room?

A. Many of us are trying to learn Hebrew. Sometimes we use Hebrew phrases like "Shalom" (lit. Peace but used as a greeting or goodbye), "Achi" (my brother), "Achoti" (my sister), "Shabbat Shalom" (Shalom on the Sabbath), "Laila tov" (good night). Don't feel intimidated if you don't know a few. We are learning too :) There is a short list of Hebrew words/phrases and their translation at http://www.eliyah.com/hebrew.txt if you share the same desire of learning Hebrew.
